# SHRAP Tokenomics

SHRAP is issued as an ERC-20 token and will soon be deployed on Avalanche. Token generation events (TGE) generate SHRAP tokens, which never increase. No other tradable tokens are expected to be created or issued. SHRAP tokens are distributed and unlocked as follows:

### 🔓Token Unlock <a href="#info5-2" id="info5-2"></a>

Community rewards will be unlocked, but these rewards will be released to the community based on an asymptotic function to ensure that community rewards are available during the long-term operation of the platform.\
Vesting contracts for community rewards are deployed on the Avalanche C-Chain and locked until the SHRAPNEL subnet becomes active, then migrated and vested.

Tokens will be distributed over a full 60-month period, with the three items, excluding ecosystem funds and already unlocked tokens, unlocked linearly starting after 12 months.
